Closing the Loop Matters. At Circular Threads, how products are sourced and made, and where they end up matter. We make all of our products out of post-consumer waste materials. We work to use as much scrap and recycled materials into our products as possible. That makes each product unique.
Our Process - How it is Made:
The outside printed fabric is sailcloth that is woven from recycled water bottles (rPET). Most sailboat sails are made from virigin polyester called Dacron that is very energy intensive to make. Making sailcloth out of recycled water bottles uses significantly less energy and natural resources. The recycled saicloth is then printed with water based inks that won't fade using the nautical chart of your choosing.
Each yard of recycled fabric saves over one pound of CO2, compared to virgin fabric and upcycles about 20 plastic water bottles
